The Wisehockey system will be used in Kiekkobussi Arena, Finland, beginning from the fall 2020. Lempäälän Kisa (LeKi) will be the world’s first team outside major ice hockey leagues to implement smart pucks. Later on junior players will also get to enjoy the benefits of the real-time analytics platform.
Wisehockey, Lempäälän Edustus Jääkiekko and Lempäälän Jäähalli believe that the new collaboration will boost Finnish ice hockey and training on all levels.
“Collaboration with LeKi is a great example of the possibilities of bringing automated analytics to all hockey teams and players, on every league level and in all age groups. For Wisehockey this means taking a step toward a wider range of services related to ice hockey and players, a work which we have started with the official training center of the Finnish national hockey team in Vierumäki. Now we get to put this into practice in the everyday training of an ice hockey club as well, and also help LeKi to reach their goals in the sport. This is also a wonderful chance to provide new activities for junior players by using the latest technologies,” says Miska Kuusisto, Wisehockey Head of Sales.
