Liiga returns to MTV – Smart puck statistics remain an integral part of broadcasts

 

Telia Company, the largest TV company in the Nordic countries, concentrates its TV broadcasting in a new TV and media unit. The company announced on May 11th that MTV will take on Liiga (Finnish Hockey League) transmissions again beginning from the next season. Wisehockey’s smart puck statistics will remain an integral part of MTV’s ice hockey broadcasting.

The goal of Telia and MTV is to make Liiga’s visibility bigger than ever before. MTV has decades of experience in sports broadcasting, and as a part of Telia Company it wants to take hockey viewers’ experience to the next level.

Telia’s high-quality technology remains the basis of Liiga broadcasts. Wisehockey’s real-time statistics will continue to play an intrinsic role in TV hockey, helping to provide unique entertainment for Finnish hockey fans.
